ZH-EN/ZH-JA Freelance Translator
Spiral Up is an indie game publisher from Singapore. Its team members were behind the development and marketing of highly successful indie games like Chinese Parents which has sold more than 3 million copies, and Home Behind and Gordian Quest, both of which had received thousands of positive ratings on Steam.
We are looking for experienced and creative Chinese into English / Japanese freelance translators, editors and LQA testers who are passionate about the industry to join our freelancer pool. Other language combinations are also welcome.
Provide high-quality translation / LQA test results on time. (For translation tasks, 90% are in-game text and 10% are operation or marketing materials.)
Great understanding of the source language and native level in the target language
Proved experience in game translation and/or LQA testing
Wordcount requirement for translators: 2700 chars/day (ZH into other); 2300 words/day (EN into other)
Detail-oriented, punctual, responsible
Passionate about games
Able to use at least one cloud-based CAT tool (we currently use Memsource / Phrase)
Able to efficiently communicate via email, IM and query sheet
Preferable: Have experience in using Trello
What We Offer
Reasonable project schedule. We usually share the schedule with you at least 2 weeks in advance.
We prefer a stable project team. Unless uncontrollable factors, you are not likely to be replaced once the team members are confirmed.
You can play the demo of the game you work on and get the Steam key of its released version.
You will communicate directly with the publishing team to minimize information loss.
Competitive rates. We will try to satisfy your rate needs within our budget.
We offer related trainings on tools and techniques.
